The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: Gloria (Alias Nicki) Johnson Resume Name and title: Gloria Wolford Johnson, DWJ Television, Senior Vice President, Senior Producer and Chief Script Editor Previous Employment: Prior to joining DWJ in 1973, Johnson was with UPI where she began her career covering the steel industry and eventually rose to become the wire service's first woman general news editor. She also worked as a reporter and editor on newspapers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Education: B.A., Journalism, Pennsylvania State University. Relevant work experience: Johnson has extensive experience in all forms of broadcast writing, from the 90-second clip to hour and half-hour shows on topics ranging from nuclear power to the space program to life in an African village. She supervises DWJ's writing/producing staff in addition to taking a hands-on writing/producing role for many clients. Most notably, Johnson has taken a lead role in the writing and production of more than a dozen videos each for Prentice Hall and Mobil (now ExxonMobil). Johnson also writes the company's monthly newsletter which can be found at DWJ.com under "Broadcast Report."
